This was a song we learnt in school..
If auld acquaintance be forgot,
and never brought to mind,
If auld acquaintance be forgot,
and tales of auld lang syne.

I couldnt help feeling sorry thinking of an old man (who went by the strange nameof lang syne) quite forgotten and left to himself in the prairies :) Very nostalgic.

strangely enough, i have never heard this rhyme or song. pardon my ignorance, but the first time i heard about it was on dec 30 2005, on the radio, when someone was talking about how christmas has so many songs but new year has just one...and even then, i couldn't quite catch the name! Interesting it should show up here just a few days later!

word ver: kiraxxj (as Lingam yadav would say...kaikoo kiraak paasha!)

better! Moors, yes.

brings back vivid memories of the thrilling Baskervilles and the chilling "Wuthering heights".. Kudos to Emily Bronte!

And even I havent heard of it either, not until this female decides to post it here.

The Corrs (that Irish girl band) have performed the song auld lang syne--may be there is a reason it's origins are celtic.
